Trade Wars
     -Spring 2005

Tumbleweed Theatre took their first stab at adaptation when director

Brian Crumblehulme decided that the group's next step would be a countri-fied version of Aristophanes' Greek sex comedy, Lysistrata.

The play concerned the women of a local town imposing a sex strike on men until the BSE dispute had been settled. Needless to say on stage, the BSE crisis was over quickly!

"Trade Wars allowed us to discover more talent in Brooks in terms of people wanting to be on stage, and we have turned around and cast with this in mind during A Midsummer Night's Dream auditions," said Crumblehulme.
